The Family Program Get Ready Page

What you Need to Know

We're excited to connect with you, learn more about your family’s T1D journey, and see if this program is a good fit. Please watch the 2-minute video below and learn more about the Family Group Coaching Program from our founder Lauren before your enrollment call!

What You Can Expect On Your Call:

  • You'll meet and speak with Coach Jess from our team.

  • You'll have a safe space to share what you've been struggling with, what you've already tried, and your vision for yourself and your health is.

  • Together you'll decide the best next step for you, whether that is the Family Group Coaching Program or another coaching program (with always keeping your best interest in mind!)

What Not To Expect On Your Call:

  • Convincing you to join the Family Program (we want this to be an empowered choice that comes from YOU!)

  • Letting you allow your fears, patterns, and limitations to be the driver of your decision.

  • Judgment for how you've managed your diabetes.

Here's What You Can Expect Once You Enroll Into The Family Program:

1. Coaching Calls

LIVE group coaching calls, 2 1:1 coaching calls spread out over the 8 weeks, and 1 call led by psychologist and Risely Medical Advisory Board member, Dr. Elana Dumont

2. Support in Between Calls

In between calls, and after the program ends, you'll have access to our Slack channel to communicate with members and coaches. This is a place for accountability, building relationships, and real-time feedback and coaching.

3. Resource Vault

You will get lifetime access to our vault of educational resources.

What Else To Expect From This Program?

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ The most positive + forward-moving T1D community you will ever be involved in. Family Program members come in as clients and leave as family.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผHigh levels of accountability. We don't just want you to learn, we want you to actually see the changes you came for, and more.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผDeveloping your confidence with managing your child's T1D BEYOND the numbers. Most T1D education doesn't support you on the deeper, higher-level transformations required to make sustainable change...we do!

Why You? Why Now?

If you're thinking, "Is now the right time?" know this: there is always going to be something going on whether it’s a vacation, house renovations, busy schedules, ect. Investing more time into diabetes may seem counterintuitive when you have so much on your plate as a parent. But, the truth is: you’re already spending time on it. You’re spending time on it right now! Let us help you refine the energy you’re putting in and maximize the results you'll get in return.

Meet The Coaches!

Meet Trista

HEAD COACH

Trista is a Nationally Board Certified health coach who cares deeply about helping parents and kids feel confident, capable, and calm living life with T1D. She loves to meet families where they are and support them in their journey, wherever they want to go.

Her own experience of growing up with T1D and her work as an educator and learning specialist led her naturally into a role as the head coach in our Family programs.

Trista was born and raised in Vermont, where she developed an appreciation for the outdoors and healthy living. She credits her young diabetes confidence to the support she received from her dad, who also lives with T1D. She had an active childhood that evolved into college athletics, traveling abroad, and interning for a women-owned business in Uganda.

Looking back, Trista acknowledges that growing up with a dad who also had T1D granted her an innate sense of confidence, resilience, and fearlessness. Her father played college sports and traveled the world so it was never a question to Trista that she could do whatever she desired, too. That sense of
“You’re okay. You’re going to be okay” is what Trista is so passionate about bringing to families of T1D kids.

At the same time, even with her father as a role model, Trista still struggled with a lot of challenges around blood sugars and self acceptance as a young adult. Having been both a player and a coach; a student and an educator; and a coaching client of Lauren Bongiorno in 2017, Trista believes in the power of the coaching dynamic to help people overcome T1D challenges, create sustainable change, and infuse self-confidence and independence along the way.

Trista now lives in Massachusetts where she enjoys spending time outside, reading, and exercising. She is also a certified yoga instructor and has completed her NBHWC certification. She dreams of visiting all 50 states someday.
